Papandreas Rajani & Co. – Chartered Accountants
Founded over 30 years ago Colin Papandreas formed the initial practice to provide vital business services to friends and family. Since Colin’s retirement in May 2007 the practice has been owned and managed by Mohammed Rajani, a chartered accountant and Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Specialist. From these humble beginnings Papandreas Rajani & Co has now developed over the years to service several businesses in a wide variety of industries. Our no –nonsense type advice has really struck a chord with our clients, who hail from all areas in Sydney, interstate and internationally.
Our methods are simple, to be available for our clients when needed and to provide a very personalized service. Over the years we have found that our clients enjoy having a relationship built with a specific person and we appreciate that this is crucial in understanding our client’s needs. Planning for the future and the present requires a great knowledge of our clients past and present situation and goals. From this comes great service and a relationship that grows as with your business or personal needs.
We are happy to spend time with our clients explaining our advice and underlying methodologies to ensure that our clients have a thorough understanding of our discussions and recommendations. Our aim is to provide a holistic service to our clients, avoiding the need for clients to have numerous discussions with different advisors. Nonetheless it is common to have specific needs or requirements that warrant a specialist. For these situations we have a trusted network of advisors that we have “Vetted “ over the years to ensure that there mindsets and similar to our own. This may involve specialists in the field of valuations, insurance, finance & legal.

Mohammed Rajani – Principal
Qualifications – Chartered Accountant, SMSF Specialist, SMSF Auditor, B.Bus, Tax agent and Justice of the Peace)
Born in Sydney and completing high school in Capetown, South Africa, Mohammed was very driven to exceed expectations, in any situation, be it personal or in business. From the tender age of fourteen he learnt the business skills of buying, selling and haggling running a small flea market stall. If you were to ask him these are the same business skills the he uses today and in every business decision he makes. Since starting with Papandreas Rajani & Co in 2001 Mohammed and has owned and operated numerous businesses himself, in hospitality, childcare & Vending & Retail, all now under management. The benefit of having this business exposure not only results in a great contact list, but a real understanding of business issues, from cashflow to human resources and legal risks.
Carol Tran – Senior Accountant
Qualifications – Chartered Accountant, B.Com (Accounting)
After finishing university Carol worked for one of the largest fresh produce suppliers in NSW, then completed her Chartered Accountant Designation whilst working with Papandreas Rajani & Co. Despite the fact that Carol decided to spread her wings into the commercial accounting world she still works on a part time basis with the firm specializing largely in our ever growing Self Managed Super Fund area.
Malek Khaled – Intermediate Accountant
Qualifications – B.Bus (Accounting)
Malek started off with the firm in 2009 as a junior accountant whilst studying his degree at university. Currently specializing and assisting many of our sole trader and individual clients Malek has proven to be invaluable to the practice and a pleasure to deal with, and is currently undertaking his Chartered Accounting course through the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Catherine Jones
Qualifications – B.Bus
Cath finished her degree in Western Australia and worked in the profession before moving to Sydney with her husband. Currently undertaking her Chartered Accounting course, Cath has a great ability to assist with the preparation of our business clients with their complex groups and financial accounts, statutory returns and GST obligations.
Mary Elters
Qualifications – B.Bus
Growing up in coastal NSW, Mary obtained auditing experience with a local firm and then moved to Sydney to enhance her career prospects. Working full time with Papandraes Rajani & Co for a period of three years and specialising in taxation, Mary felt the need to spread her wings into the commercial accounting area with a client of the Papandraes Rajani & Co. More recently Mary has returned to work on a part time basis and enjoys the preparation of financial accounts and statutory returns.
Administration Staff
Louise Alderton
Celebrating her 20 year anniversary with Papandreas Rajani & Co in 2014, Louise has become the backbone of the office and enjoys a great relationship with all of our clients. Born in Tasmania Louise moved to Sydney with her husband John who works for the Australian Navy. Constantly keeping all the staff in check Louise is an integral part of the office and manages the day to day running of the office.
Caroline Boznovska
Currently completing her Business Degree with a major in accounting, Caroline works part time assisting Louise, in the administration roles. Already displaying a natural ability to create relationships and maintain good rapport we would expect that Caroline would grow into an accounting role in the years to come.
